How to Configure your Phone with GLO Sim Card to Browse the Internet

WAP Access Configuration

The steps below describe how to configure you Phone with Glo Sim card to browse the internet(WAP) generally especially those devices that cannot be configured automatically by the network. Depending on the type of device, the menu names and prompts may differ.
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to SETTINGS
2. Then CONNECTIONS/WIRELESS AND NETWORKS/DESTINATIONS/CONNECTION SETTINGS
3. Select MOBILE NETWORKS
4. Select ACCESS POINT NAMES
5. Select DESTINATIONS
6. Press OPTIONS then select ADD NEW APN/NEW ACCESS POINT
7. The following parameters are to be used (ignore all other prompts or leave them blank):


Name = Glo Wap
APN = glowap
User name = Wap
Pass word = Wap
Proxy server/Address = 10.100.114.114
Port = 3130
Port(WAP 1,older devices) = 9201
Home page = Http://wap.gloworld.com
Authentication type = Normal or PAP or CHAP or
PAP+CHAP.
( Note: Authentication varies
depending on the type of device )
Press MENU/OPTION and select SAVE SETTINGS/CHANGES

Subscription based (HSI) Configuration

The steps below describe how to configure your Phone with Glo Sim Card to browse the Internet(HSI) generally especially those devices that cannot be configured automatically by the network. Depending on the type of device, the menu names and prompts may differ.
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to SETTINGS
2. Then CONNECTIONS/WIRELESS AND NETWORKS/DESTINATIONS/CONNECTION SETTINGS
3. Select MOBILE NETWORKS
4.
5. Press OPTIONS then select ADD NEW APN/NEW ACCESS POINT
6. The following parameters are to be used (ignore all other prompts or leave them blank):


Name = Glo mobile Internet
APN = gloflat
Username = flat
Password = flat
Homepage = http://lsi.glo.com
Authentication Type = Normal or PAP or
CHAP or PAP+CHAP
(Note: Authentication type varies
Depending on the type of device)
Press MENU/OPTIONS and select SAVE SETTINGS/CHANGES.

MMS Configuration

The steps below describe how to configure your Phone with Glo Sim Card to browse the Internet (MMS) generally especially those devices that cannot be configured automatically by the network. Depending on the type of device, the menu names and prompts may differ.
Follow the steps below:
1. Go to SETTINGS
2. Then CONNECTIONS/WIRELESS AND NETWORKS/DESTINATIONS/CONNECTION SETTINGS
3. Select MOBILE NETWORKS
4. Select ACCESS POINT NAMES
5. Select DESTINATIONS
6. Press OPTIONS then select ADD NEW APN/NEW ACCESS POINT

Name = Glo MMS
APN = glomms
Username = mms
Password = mms

Port = 3120
